  • We are pleased to announce that the ESCAPE Summer School on Data Science for Astronomy, Astroparticle and Particle Physics will be held online from 7 to 18 June 2021. Registration to attend the school is now open on this link. Deadline: 31 May 2021.
    Carried out in the framework of the project ESCAPE (European Science Cluster of Astronomy & Particle physics ESFRI research infrastructures), this event is free and open to all, please do not hesitate to share it to your communities.

The program of the school is devoted to project development for astrophysics, astroparticle physics & particle physics.
It will provide theoretical and hands-on training on Data Science and Python development:
– coding environment and good code practices,
– version control and collaborative development,
– Python packaging,
– scientific libraries for data science and analysis and machine learning.

A Slack community for the school will be available for communication between participants, to ask questions to tutors, amongst others.

The school is held as a continuation of the Asterics/Obelics summer schools (2017 edition, 2018 edition, 2019 edition).

El astrofísico Alberto Domínguez –que es investigador Ramón y Cajal del Grupo de Altas Energías del Instituto de Física de Partículas y del Cosmos, perteneciente a la Universidad Complutense– destaca el uso de estos rayos gamma para estudiar la cosmología: «Nuestra técnica nos permite utilizar una nueva metodología, independiente de las existentes, para medir propiedades cruciales del universo», comenta Domínguez.
