I am a faculty member at the Department of Structure of Matter, Thermal Physics, and Electronics at UCM since 1998. I am also a member of the Cherenkov Telescope Array Consortium. My main fields of interest are data analysis and experimental techniques in Astroparticle Physics, AGNs, and compact objects.
After graduating in Fundamental Physics and obtaining my Ph.D. in Particle Physics in 1992 at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, I worked at DELPHI (Detector with Lepton, Photon and Hadron Identification) detectors of the Large Electron-Positron Collider (LEP) with long-term visits at CERN.
After a three-year post-doc period in LAL (Laboratoire de l’Accélérateur Linéaire – Université Paris-Saclay, Orsay, FranciaI I moved to Astroparticle Physics. Since then, I have worked in Cherenkov observatories: HEGRA, MAGIC, and CTA.
I “work for the matrix,” trying to bring the Cherenkov Telescope Array to life.
